General Doors Advantage is for homeowners who want the classic look of a raised panel door in sturdy, economical steel. Built to last with a lifetime rust-through warranty.
This is a door that looks great is built to have maintenance-free longevity. This door has anti-corrosion inside and out, from the baked on polyester top coat - available in white, almond, brown, and sandtone factory finishes - to the galvanized steel with authentic raised panel texture.
For energy efficiency, the advantage includes a polystyrene insulated core that provides and R-value of 6.7. The insulation not only create a more energy-efficient door, it also helps muffle sound an further add to the solid feel of this door. Between each panel is a thermal break design that is unique to General Doors which helps prevent energy loss.
The Avantage garage door includes heavy-duty tracks with an unique elliptical curve that reduces the force needed to roll the door along the track, making opening and closing the door smoother. Full leave, heavy-gauge hinges and rollers with steel bearings provide strength and years of trouble-free operation.
The standard widths for this door are 8',9',10',12',16' and 18'. Special order widths are available in 1" increments.
Standard heights are 6'6", 7', 7'6", and 8'.
Garage Door Finish
General Doors per-paints both sides of the garage door with a primer, and finishes the door with a top coat of baked on polyester for an exterior paint thickness of 1.0 mil. The available colors are Arctic White, Almond, Brown, and Sandtone:
